Auto setup channel levels!!!

I have just done the auto setup on my pioneer vsx520 and noticed it haqs set the channel levels very low, -10 front/centre and round 0 for the rears, will it affect the speaker setup if i notch these up by say 10 on the scale to say 0 for the front and +10 for the rears as at the moment i have to have the amp around 45 out of 70 to have anything listenable.

any advise appreciated

You could do, but it's not going to give you any more power - you're just shifting the listening level down by 10dB. The volume on most AV receivers does usually tend to have to be turned up quite high as they don't normally cover a large range down low.
