Audiolab 8000 av - best set up for audio quality

I've just purchased an Audiolab AV amp, and although it hasn't arrived yet I'm thinking about set up options.

Since I'm going to be replacing a Pioneer AX5i, I'm expecting a dramatic jump in SQ (I hope so anyway)

I'll be using the amp through ProAc Studio 100 speakers and the simple question is this:

Will it be better to bridge 4 of the channels of the 8000av and run single speaker cables into the ProAc's, or Bi-amp the speakers using the same 4 channels. Either method then leaves me with a further 3 channels for the centres and rears?

What are the advantages of bridging other than a higher output - are there SQ improvements too?

Thanks

Steve

I'd biwire. Bridging will give you more power and thus potentially better dynamics and clarity, but gives no inherent increases in sound quality

Thanks Andrew

I think that the original suggestion to bridge may have come from a What Hi-Fi review but wasn't sure what advantage there would be.

Any suggestions for suitable speaker cable? Currently using QED silver spiral - sounds nice but is a B**ch to terminate properly.

Cheers

Steve
