I've just purchased an Audiolab AV amp, and although it hasn't arrived yet I'm thinking about set up options.
Since I'm going to be replacing a Pioneer AX5i, I'm expecting a dramatic jump in SQ (I hope so anyway)
I'll be using the amp through ProAc Studio 100 speakers and the simple question is this:
Will it be better to bridge 4 of the channels of the 8000av and run single speaker cables into the ProAc's, or Bi-amp the speakers using the same 4 channels. Either method then leaves me with a further 3 channels for the centres and rears?
What are the advantages of bridging other than a higher output - are there SQ improvements too?
Thanks
Steve
