After a lot of research I finally got myself the m50x's
smiley-smile.gif
. What do i say about them?? They are good. Way better than the ones i was using before(b&o a8, bose ae2, hk cl). The audio is flat, detailed and well balanced. I found the treble to be on the harsher side so i tweaked the equalizer but that didnt help |( . Have to keep changing it for every song. Highs are too bright, they sparkle a lot. Initially i thought it might change over time but it doesnt seem to. Lot of people whom i gave the cans to try on had similar complain. Please help me out :help: . Im using it with htc one and ipod nano. Will an amp or DAC do me any favor?hows fiio e6? or e11? anyother suggestion?

What about Burn in?? Does it help? Do i complete 100hrs of burn in before i spend a 100bucks on the amp?

I think an amp should do the trick.

Not sure that an amp will help with harsh treble.

The treble was the reason I didn't get a set myself. Just a bit brutal at times. I believe that burn-in time is essential, but to be honest the changes I find after say 10-20 hours are relatively insignificant, and I'm not prepared to say they aren't imagined (i.e. my ears "burning in" and getting more used to the sound).

I didnt know that it would be so bright. The one (ath m50 ) i had for demo was used for around 3years and sounded great. I think the m50x's have this problem. Im not sure what do i do now. Should i buy somethingelse or go for an amp first.

A parametric equalizer that allows you to set the frequencies would fix that M50 perfectly. I use Audioforge on apple i-devices that play through various DACs and amps, and get the full EQ benefit no matter what amp I use.

I've never used Android, so maybe in the Android app store.
