I've just had my new Tacima cs929 delivered today, and was wondering what I can safely plug in without overloading it. Last thing I need is my 42"plasma going up in smoke.

Anyways my list of equipment I wanted to plug in..... Pany 42PZ85, Denon 2105 av amp, sky and JVC S-VHS video recorder. And if possible my Toshiba dvd player for my multi region dvd's. I have a ps3 as well but where it's positioned at the moment I won't be able to plug that in.

I need to have a good re route of all the cables behind my tv stand as they are ermmm "not positioned optimally". A job for the weekend as well as plugging in the Tacima.

So how much of my gear can I safely plug in without the worry of overloading/fire ?

Well, the rating of the Tacima is 13A, so it should be able to handle products rated up to a total of 3kW or so. Check out the power consumption of all the bits you want to plug in, divide by 240 and that will give you the number of amps each draws.

Thanks Andrew..... very quick reply.

Other than looking in the manuals or Manufacturer website is there any online tools that can do this ?

EDIT: Just looked for my tv and it's "rated" power consumption works out at 1.3A, but say 1.5A to be safe. Looked on the denon site for power consumption but all it states is standby power. Any idea's what my amp will use? I will have to try and find my manual, which could be tricky as it's more than likely "somewhere safe".

I can't imagine sky and video using much juice. So I think I am well withing the 13A...... but obviously want to make sure 1st.
