For my system, Marantz 8003 amp. and CDP with MA RX 6 spreakers and Atlas Equator interconnect i'm looking for speakercables. Which is better; the Atlas or the Chord? I don't like a bright sound, but a warmer sound ( music almost rock).

Theres 2 main reasons no one has yet replied

1 - theres probably very few who have actually tried BOTH of those cables out to give you a fair answer

2 - these threads usually involve the 'anti cable' crew joining in and its really no fun at all

Personally id recommend Van Damme UP LC-OFC. Id be suprised if either of those cables you posted were as good as the van damme

Very good points from aliEnRIK. If it's a choice between the two, the Carnival is presently £2 or £3 cheaper and you may as well base your decision on that. It is very thick, though easy to strip and work with.

Whatever you go for, keep the speaker cable you presently have. Then test it against your new purchase (when "burned in" if you consider that necessary). You will then know whether to spend money on cables again or not.

The Van Damme has arrived and sounds superbe! I've tried many expensive cables, but the Van Damme is the best! Very, very good. I'm so happy now.

I have the Atlas Equator interconnect. Is there a Van Damme which is better?
