Atlantic HD Recording in letterbox versus anytime in Widescreen

This is a little wierd but if I record Curb your Enthusiasm on the Atlantic HD channel and then watch later its in a letterbox (Now i know this was how it was filmed back in 2001) but if I watch it on Anytime its in widescreen (Looking a tad stretched).

What I want to know is how is the Sky HD box differentiating all this and playing in different formats. Its set to play in widescreen. Thoughts would be appreciated.

It could be that the anytime version your watching isn't the hd version. The HD channels display programs and films in the aspect ratio it was filmed in.
