Hi,

I've got around £1000 give or take a couple of hundred to buy a new plasma. What's important to me is:

  • Slim line, so it will sit nicely flat against the wall and wont portrude too much into the room.
  • Full HD 1080P
  • Good black levels

Ill be using it to watch mainly Sky HD channels as well as Blu-rayHD-DVD's.

I'm currently looking at the Panasonic TH42PZ85B, I saw it on Tottenham Court Rd and liked the look of the plasma as well as the great picture (showing Blu-Ray film with Penguins!). Havent seen it with SKY SD upscaled 1080i or HD content yet though.Bit concerned with some of the comments in the other forum threads about line defects on the set though!

Which other plasma's do you think I should be considering against the Panasonic?

Thanks,

Hi there Neilshep, I am looking at alternatives to Panasonic plasma,im afraid not many reviews around in WHiFi mag, nothing on the Samsung PDPs at all. My choice would be the PZ80,wait a bit and see the reviews on the Samsungs when they come out, they were cheaper than the panny and just as good.
