Aria 906 vs Sonus Faber Toy?

Driven by curiosity,

Currently have a set of Focal Aria 906s. Looking for a floorstanding option. Considering Sonus Faber Toy towers. How do they sound compared to each other?

Focal sound as I've found: the cliches are fitting here. Airy, detailed, smooth and extended treble, moderate soundstage. I really want to highlight the smooth treble here, as it's very noticable when swapping speakers back and forth (the others I have - Totem Dreamcatcher, Energy - have a grain to them in comparison). The midrange is getting more lush as break in goes on. Voices sound fantastic. Incredibly realistic. Instrument separation can be a bit much, almost too much detail. Becomes analytical. All this via a Yamaha RX870 amplifier. Switched to a Cambridge cxa60 and everything became more 'musical' - that is to say, there was a cohesion to the sound now even though the detail hadn't dropped much. Sound warmed up a bit. Vocals are still amazing, but not 'in the room realistic' like with the Yamaha. Wasn't expecting that.

So suffice to say, I've been happy with the Focals! If there's any other critiscism, I'd say they're a tad laid back. The Totems are in your face, engaging, grainy, a bit edgy, compared to the super smooth Focals.

How do the Toy's compare?
With the Focals I have an 8" sub complimenting the sound. Would that be required for them too?

Thanks in advance for the opinions!

The Sonus Faber Toy has been supersed by the Chameleon. A review of the Chameleon T (Tower) says "They struck a good balance between uncovering detail without being analytical, and reproducing recordings with a sense of presence but without sounding too forward ..... Chameleon Ts’ sound had a natural, unforced quality that made for engaging listening; what especially impressed me was that, even at low volumes, details were well resolved and clearly audible. It’s nice to know that, whether used to energize a party or for quiet late-night listening, the Chameleon Ts should consistently deliver clean, detailed sound."

...more here, and another link if your read through this thread. They would certainly sound closer to what you describe for your Focals than the Totems, though personally I've never really fallen for Focals of any type.
