And this just in - Sunday was the most visited day, like, ever...

Not any more - yesterday was bonkers! Not far short of half a million page views in a single day

Yes, it must store up hits and add them later (I was only looking at 12.15am, sorry - must try harder). Maybe people watch the site on catch-up?

I-HiFi?

You mean I've got a whole load of this site to read when I get back next weekend?

Good grief, I was one of the originals? Not sure whether that's a good thing or not! Better not tell my gf. Many thanks for the services you've provided me WHF.

Clare Newsome:Nah - you're ahead over there in Japan; you're reading stuff that hasn't got to us yet

If the TV I'm watching now is stuff you're yet to get in the UK, be very afraid: it makes Big Brother look like Kenneth Clark's Civilisation...

Guess which celebrity suffered as a result of her father's Alzheimer's/her parents losing everything when the bubble burst/or just looks rough with no make-up, all presented with big showbiz razzamatazz in front of a panel of celebrities who look like a selection of manga heroines/ageing rockers/miami vice extras, and with a studio audience gasping and screaming at each new revelation.

Incommoded, thats a new word for me. When I first read your post I thought that you were letting the forum know that you had fallen down the toilet.

Hi,

Not the reaction I was looking for - I meant down the pan in an artistical sense. As in Trainspotting...lol

i didnt realise they had the jeremy kyle show over there ...

Hmmm but then Kyle isn't primetime 8-9pm evening entertainment. This is, apparently...

I'm intrigued on how low reality tv can actually go.

What function does the celebrity panel provide? Helpful advice? Voting off of the least mentally messed up audition after a public vote to whittle it to the last two? Or they just trying to boost their own flagging profiles by being judgemental?

andrew , would you have an idea how much a pint of guiness is over there ?? just curious..

Andrew Everard:About 900-1000 yen, so around £6.50 upwards.
dear enough then , about £8 in cannes , i bet youd get a cheap motor in japan though , im guessing a 05 lexus is250 is around £7k..

Given that after three years every vehicle must start having 'shaken' tests and certification, which can cost £1000 or more - assuming no work is needed to pass - values of cars over three years old tend to be a bit shaky (pun intended) here.

Hence the big industry in shipping relatively young used Japanese cars worldwide, though the current strength of the yen hasn't done that business many favours...

But the Lexus brand is a relatively recent arrival here in Japan - until recently, cars have been marketed as Toyota, so an RX was a Toyota Harrier until last year, and the LS models were Toyota Celsiors until 2006.
