arcam solo movie 2.1 and B&W 805s

Folks,

am thinking of getting an arcam solo 2.1. i have set of B&W 805s's and want to know if the arcam can drive them. nowhere to demo both in sunny singapore sadly.

The B&W website states 50watts as an absolute minimum for the 805, and also notes that they dip to 3.7ohms.

I think they deserve good amplification.

The Arcam Solo would drive them but not as well as they could be driven and i feel that you wouldnt get the best out of them.

Have you any other speakers on mind?

i already have the 805 speakers that i use with my cyrus setup. sadly the cyrus needs to go into storage as we need to rearrange the house (kids, kids, kids).

i want the simplest solution that will give me reasonable performance.

latest thinking is that i put everything in storage and shiop in a bose 35 system (please do not flame me for the bose). that is simple and tiday and will keep the wife happy.

What about a small or half-width DVD player, such as Cyrus, plugged directly into power speakers?

This will save space and can perform well.
