Arcam DV88 - good choice for DVD Audio?

Hi all, just made an impulse buy an ebay - an Arcam DV88 for just over £100. I know the DV88 is getting on a bit now but is it still good value for money?
I currently have an ageing Pioneer DV667A as my main DVD(i dont watch many dvds) player and am thinking of using the Arcam exclusively with my Hi-Fi system for audio playback of DVDs. Would i be right in thinking the DV88 has much better audio output than the DV667A? also, how do you think the DV88 would stack up against my CD72T?

I had DV88 for a while but it was too fussy with discs (even with easy remote hack).
Pictures via components outputs was superb as so sound, it was more than acceptable (DVD, not cd replay). I wouldn't like to guess how would the DVD compare with CD72T, all I know is I paid a lot more than £100 for it!
