The AVR400 is only due for release in "early February", so it's not that surprising you can't find one to demo.

If its anything like the AVR600, then yes it will be good in stereo.

Sorry to bring it up again but have track down an AVR500 but was thinking would i be better to spend half the money on a Stereo amp and an Av amp??

like the pioneer VSX-LX53 and Roksan Kandy K2 or naim Nait 5i amplifier for my tuntable.
