Apple lossless and PS3

i have all my music stored as Apple Lossless in iTunes - if i connect my PS3 to my pc will it be able to play those files or would i need to convert them?

yeah wireless - i stream currently to my squeezbox and wanted to send to ps3 in another room and connect using optical to av amp

Right, I think the summary is - not natively, you need to load tversity.
