The Rega Apollo CDP is superb BUT... So is the Audiolab

I demo'd both with my NAD pre/power system below and found that they sound brilliant but the Audiolab has a more detailed top end; for me it was a little harsh at times BUT the B&W speakers I have were new at that demo as well.

The Rega Apollo is very gutsy and detailed but smooth with it too...

Personally I'd go the Apollo route but the Audiolabs built in DAC and USB input means it's more of a future proof buy etc...

Audiolabs built in DAC and USB input makes it a bit of an unfair advantage. but even still i would choice the apolllo, add the rega dac into the equation and you have something very special at a tenth of the price!
