If you weren't needing digital inputs I wouldn't hesitate to point you in the direction of an early Mission Cyrus 1 (the very last ones did not have headphone sockets). Shoeboxed sized = check. Great sound = check. Fantastic beefy headphone output that will laugh in the face of HD650's = check. Digital inputs = Ah.

Nah, I don't notice it getting bright. It's just too loud for me to be comfortable with in sheer SPL. The KEFs do dip down to 3.2 ohms I hear (R300s), so having enough juice in the tank to handle that dip and keep control would be useful.

And yeah, I need them digital inputs, unfortunately... Would be sweet if someone had directly compared the D3020 to the D7050 and the PMA-50 (or 60 even) as it seems those are all you get in this range for some reason.
