Anyone know where i can repair my faulty sub?

I have a faulty KEF subwoofer and wondered if anyone knew where i could get it repaired at a reasonable cost? Its 15 months old so its 3 months out of warrenty. KEF has told me their standard repair charge is £150 and i still need to get it to them as well.

Any help would be most welcome. I am thinking of listing it on ebay as a faulty KEF sub

Probably be best to get it fixed by KEF. I guess it depends what the fault is??

As for listing it on ebay, I assume you would buy another sub?? If so, how much would it cost to buy a new sub compared to the repair?? If you are happy with the sub and it will be cheaper to repair than replace then you might as well get it fixed.

I am but i need to sell my old system to put the money towards my new system so i am debating whether to get the sub fixed and then sell my KEF 2005.2 as a complete package or just sell it as a faulty sub

Less than 2 years old. EU regs give you a 2 year warranty as has been discussed previously on this site. Go back to the supplier (not the manafacturer) and request your legal rights. The Guardian ran a big article on it so you should have no toruble finding some docs to help bolster your case with the supplier.

Just to let you know as you said you wanted the same system as me, (denon 2310 and B&W 685) that seven oaks are doing a very nice deal till the 21st, you can get these two for £1760 or £1840 with the upgraded sub! Bargain!

no not yet as im waiting for my QED evo cabels to arrive first and the speakers im waiting for. I did listen to them with the A10 sub and denon 2310 and blown away! cant be more happier. Now its time to sort out my room and make it to a proper cinema room 😀

I had a faulty KEF PSW2000 sub and was told by Unilet sound & vision in New Malden, Surrey, they often have a power supply problem.They repaired first time for me then second time I replaced with a Tannoy Arena Sub and the system sounds much sweeter.Then I got £50 for the faulty KEF sub on ebay!!

Now I am happy with the cheapest option although Richer Sounds incredible deal on the Tannoy Arena whole package is sooo tempting.

hey andy! Just to let you know ive got half my setup just missing my sub but the bass from the 685's(got them in the rear speakers as well) is pretty dam impressive! Just cant wait till i get my sub now! apart from next door 😛
