I just had a look at my killer's blu ray these are the results:

Picture 5 out of 5.

Sound 4 out of 5.

Picture was fantastic from start to finish.

Sound alot of the lead singer's vocals come from left and right speaker's stong, personally I don't like this as much, I prefer strong from the centre, and instruments left and right so a little disappointed there, It sound's better than iron maiden know so I am a liittle happier.

Will I keep in the long term? We will have to wait and see.

Does anyone know why people are making music blu ray's where the vocals from the lead singer is coming from left and right speaker's very strong and not the centre?

I have now had this on killers and iron maiden blu ray's?

It seems to be a good idea, is it as good a disk as the 2l music only Blu Ray?

Generally people frolnt left and right speakers are the strongest and most dynamic, plus its stereo of the voice (from two angles, better than mono predominantly)

JTD:
Do you have any piano blu-ray (maybe like blues or jazz but any type) which you can recommend?

Thanks

James

Have you tried the Legends of Jazz showcase? The Dave Brubeck/Billy Taylor rendition of Take the A train is amazing piano material

Thanks JTD for your response, I have never come across this before, only on the last 2 blu ray's I have brought.

Listening to killers blu ray again today and I have decided to send it back for a full refund.

The sound is very disapointing, with the vocals left and right, centre not strong, then on one of the song's is constantly just a jumble noise coming out.

I would however recommend it if you do not have a home cinema system just a blu ray player and tv.

The picture and concert are fantastic - one of the best I have seen.

momo72:I have Led Zep at the Madison Sq. Gdn (circa '73) and was VERY disappointed with the PQ. I expected a proper HD pic from a clean transfer. What you get is more Super-8 quality. Soundwise it's fine I suppose, although can't really tell as I wouldn't call my system a home-cinema set-up.

I'd have been surprised if the PQ was all that on a concert filmed 36 years ago, to be honest. Gigs are not the easiest things to film evan today and I doubt there was anything capable of practically recording a gig from multiple angles in HD-quality back then, the older films that have been remastered well were filmed on huge cameras with analogue film.

Personally as far as gigs go I'd take a rough picture so long as the sound has been done well.
