Anyone got a PJ with accoustically transparent screen?

Has anyone got a PJ with a perforated accoustically transparent screen? I'm considering adding a PJ to my setup and because of the way my speakers and 42" plasma are set up I only have 51" between speakers, roughly 60-70" diagonal. I reckon that's too small a difference from my plasma to invest in a PJ so I am thinking about having the screen come down in front of the plasma and speakers that would give me 67" width, 80" or so diag. Anyone out there done this?
