Time of the year again. Haven't been for a few years either because I lived abroad or worked (or both). May try and go for one day, Saturday likely if I'm not working. Last time my partner and I did two days and thoroughly regretted it. Hot and cramped, simply headache inducing. I just want to see a few things I read about or watched on the Tube. Nice breakfast first, a few hours of Hifi and off home.

Who's going?

I wish I could have got the time off work and travel down....Elite audio from Anstruther,Fife are taking the Electrocompaniet integrated amps to the show with the revival audio speakers along with some Lindemann gear.....they usually take the big expensive mono blocks of Electrocompaniet so it's a nice change for them to take the more.....ahem ......affordable amplifiers....I'd have been interested to hear what the guys set up the Eci6 mkii with and even the eci80d....I have both, although the Eci 80d is sitting in it's box atm.

I remember purchasing tickets prior last time and ended up in a huge cue waiting for almost 45 minutes until reaching the door whilst those that bought on the day almost immediately went in. Any suggestions on what is the better way? Thanks.

I'm going with my dad. It's the fourth year running for me, and my dad's first. He hasn't been able to come with me previously due to being mum's full time carer, but she sadly passed away in November, so it's one of the things we have in place to look forward to. We're travelling over early on the Friday, attending the show that day (hopefully a little quieter than the Saturday, when I've been before), staying overnight and seeing a bit of Bristol before heading back on Saturday evening. We're both trying to avoid hi-fi purchases this year, but it should be a fun trip, as hi-fi is an interest we have always shared (and it's his fault I got into it in the first place).

Don’t forget to sell a kidney, to pay for the parking…
Last time we parked a little outside the centre and just took a bus in.

I was specifically referring to the extortionate airport parking. If I was going to the Brizzle Show, I would most likely get the bus from Taunton. Not the quickest way to get there but, easy and, just a short walk from the Bearpit to the show and, therefore, the main bus station.

PS, I remember what the bus station was like before it was renovated. A horrible, filthy, black hole, not much of a welcome to Bristol...

Just a quick heads-up that What Hi-Fi? won’t have a stand or demo at the show this year, as our partnership has come to an end. We didn’t want anyone travelling along specifically to see us and ending up disappointed.

That said, we’ll still be there on the Friday to get round the show and see all the new products – and bring you all the news right here on the site and across our social channels.

There will no doubt be plenty of great products to see and hear, so we hope those who go have a brilliant time. Let us know your highlights in this thread...

I hadn’t realised that, so thanks for saying. I hope it stays financially viable for all concerned as I know the rooms aren’t cheap for exhibitors.

I'm quite surprised to see that none of the IAG brands (Mission, Audiolab, Wharfedale, Quad, Castle etc.) are currently listed as exhibiting. They usually take a large space, and they have new product I would expect them to wish to demonstrate this year.
