Any suggestions for a subwoofer to go with Monitor Audio RX1?

There is no way I can afford the RXW12 and I heard MA subs aren't worth the money. Do I need to be careful when choosing a subwoofer to match these speakers? My budget is £400.

350cm by 288cm. Just a bedroom but was thinking of buying the Monolith and sticking it in the corner would fit perfect near my door.

I don't think you need more than the XLS 200, but give BK a ring and talk it over with them.

IMO.It would overpower it, unless very subtley set up (though BK are the best people to ask - very helpful).

I had a 12" sub that had no problem delivering an ample sufficiency of bass in a room that measured 14ft(W) x 22ft(L) x 11ft( H ).

I agree with CNO I have RX1s with a BK XLS200 my room is 7m x 4m x 2.5m and there is plenty of bass, but I use mine for music only. As CNO says I suggest you speak top Tom at BK Elec.
