Any Info on new Sony STR-DH800 Receiver

Hi everyone,

I'm interested in buying Sony's new STR-DH800 Receiver( the replacement for the excellent STR G820) but haven't read any reviews or anything yet. Can anyone tell me if it's any good or do you knowif and when What Hi Fi will be reviewing it?

It's in the building! It'll be reviewed for our October issue - which sounds years away, but due to the delights of 13-issues-a-year publishing actually will be with subscribers in a month's time (from August 14th) and in shops by 19th August.

It is very good compared to my old Sony receiver, is easy to set up, Band of brothers sound amazing on it, and i am very happy with mine.

Potentially, but i'm not making any promises (and it'll be a good few weeks yet - we're being deluged with new kit to test at mo!)

I got mine from Play for £279.99, which was a good price but the last time I looked they were out of stock, but most places charge a lot more one place in Wales were asking £410 for the same receiver.
