another DACMagic question!

I play most of my music off my computer, using it's CD drive for CDs, or my Rega P2 for vinyl... it's going through an MF A100 and then just to some old JVC Mini system speakers. Most of my music is MP3s with some FLAC

To my ears, the speakers are excellent, they go loud without distorting and give tight bass and a decent soundstage. but with £200 quid to spend I'm not sure whether I should get a DACMagic to improve my link from computer to amp, or upgrade my speakers

any advice appreciated!

I think your first priority is to buy some new speakers before considering a £200 DAC.

And furthermore, even after you've bought the speakers - don't use the computer's cd drive for playing music ad hoc, rip it all to your hard disc in lossless (ie Flac or Apple lossless or WMA lossless) formats. Most of the benefit of PC-based music is in this step, rather than the DAC.
