Amplifier for sonos

I used to have a standard hi-fi set up with a Systemdek turntable, but I am now a "Sonos convert".

My speakers and old Project amplifier have migrated to my sons bedroom

I would like to play my vinyl and Systemdek, through Sonos.

I know I will need to buy a sonos connect, but I think I will also need an amplifier with a phono stage.

Is this correct, and can someone provide suggestions for the Amplifier

What Sonos devices do you have now?

Are you intending to also add normal speakers in the area the turntable and Connect are located?

In the same room as the turntable, there is a Play 5

In the kitchen a Play 1

Dining room has 2 x play 1 in stereo

I do not plan to purchase standard speakers

If you don't want normal speakers, you don't need an amplifier, you just need a phono stage, there are plenty available, depending on your budget.

You have a play:5 in the same room as the TT, the play:5 has a line-in, so you don't need a Connect, just wire the output from the phono stage to the play:5, you'll need an RCA to 3.5mm jack cable, pay as much or as little as you feel necessary for that.

Thank you for some excellant advice, I feel that I have saved a spend of £400+

I bought cables from Ebay for 3.99 and a Cambridge Phono stage from Richer sounds, the sound is very good, and links to the Sonos speakers in other rooms.

Since playing the T T through the play 5. I was so pleased I have added a further play 5 is it possible to link a samsung smart tv to the 2nd play 5 ?
