The Proacs do need about 500-600 hours of burn in . First they will sound to you somehow dry , but don't worry be patient !
It took couple of month to open up my 140MK2 .

Wow, real long.
My Kef did take a while to open-up but I don't remenber it took so much time...
BTW I also tried the 140 MK2.
Very nice, but it didn't match as well with my system as with the D18. I guess the electronic are very important with those speakers, maybe more than other speakers.
