Amp power

Hi,would an amp with 40w per channel safely run a pair of 4-ohm speaker's? Thank's.

Need a bit more detail than that. We really need to know: What are the speakers and the amp?

If you also know the following that would be great, otherwise from the question above we can (hopefully) find out:
What is the manufacturers minimum recommended watts for the speakers?
What is the current/amperage output of the amp?
Does that amp output 40wpc into 8 ohms or 4 ohms?

That would allow us to answer the question. Hopefully you can find out those details and we'll be able to help you.

But, just on the face value of the question you've asked: probably not (this is a very prelimenary answer though).

Hi,The amp is a Arcam A65+ and the speaker's i am thinking of buying are the Epos ELS3's.Thank's for any help.
