Hi, its time to throw out the old Yamaha rx v367 and get a stereoamp, budget is up to about $650 but with all the options out there today its hard to know what to pair the 225s with.
Optical connection and Sub/pre out is a must and bluetooth is a plus.

These are the ones that ive been looking at

Yamaha WXA-50
Denon pma-600NE, (reviews say its a pretty warm/bass sounding amp, so it could go wrong with the 225s that already have a warm sound)
Advanced acoustic xi-75
Audiolab 6000A
Marantz pm6007
Quad vena II (found a deal for $616)
I also found a used Cambridge CXA80 for $495 but not many reviews about it.

Thougths about these or other suggestions?

audiolab 6000A yeah great amp, heard great things about Marantz don't personally but yeah great trusty brand, if you can get an old jvc ja-s22, from experience great little beast its got teeth with it sound, exposure 2010 amp, musical fidelity m2si, i've not heard bad things about Cambridge, good uk brand, not too fussed on Denon, don't get the big fascination for them

As above or the Quad Vena 2 would be my suggestions although not sure if these have all of your requirements, I know the 6000A doesn't have Bluetooth but the Vena has.
The 6000A actually do have bluetooth, will have to check some more reviews of it now😄

You want somthing that can play bass, something neutral or slightly to the bright side

The diamond 225 don't have much bass (my q acoustics 3010i might have more), it's dark sounding but not as much as the 220 and despite the 220 having having a measured high sensitivity the 225 has low sensitivity, 85 db according to stereophile = 75-100 watt pr channel if you want to play loud

Thanks for the input, after watching some more reviews of the 6000a/6000a Play i decided to go with the 6000a Play on a deal for $740 instead of the non play at $650 thinking that the small difference in price could be worth it to get streaming capability.

Especially this review made the decision easy
