Amp for LS50

Hi,
Considering that my source is an Audiolab 8200CDQ, and that i like a more warm kinda of sound, based also on your experience or auditions, what would be your choice for integrated amplifier:
- Arcam A 19;
- Roksan Kandy K2;
- Naim Nait 5i.

Hi maranellofan Have a listen to the Musical Fedility M3i What sort of music do you listen to what speakers are you using You could also listen to the roksan caspian amp better control than the kandy which is a fine amp

the last time I heard the LS50s they were running with the kandy amp and they sounded realy good

I would look at Creek Evo2. Now they've been discontinued they are as cheap as chips. Have similar tonal balance to Arcam and the guts of Roksan. Ideal compromise IMO.

Make it "all four" (ie. incl M3i) and I couldn't agree more.

I´m testing at home the R300 and LS50´s from Kef. I listen to a lot of the 80´s music , but i hear almost everything, from blues to vocal jazz to pop and classical... currently my amp is a receiver (Rotel Rsx-1057), but í want to buy an integrated and separate av from stereo.

Have you considered an Audiolab 8200P (or 8200Ms)?

Could be a rhetorial question if the LS50s don't allow bi-wiring.....

+1 for Roksan and Musical Fidelity, I have used both for ages and listen to all types of music and use Quad and Monitor Audio speakers so you should not have any problems

Unless you need specific features that a pre-amplifier possesses, it'd be pointless buying an integrated amplifier to double up on the pre-amp stage. A dedicated power amplifier will normally be more powerful, produce greater current, and exert greater grip over the speaker than many integrated amplifier will.

Have a look at the Audiolab 8200P for starters (or 8200M's if you want to splash out, the Kandy K2 power amplifier (or even the Caspian M2 power amp), Arcam's P38, or Quad's Elite Stereo or Elite QSP power amplifiers.
