Amp for KEF R100 speakers

I've just picked up a Project Debut 2 and need an amp in order to play it! I've currently got a pair of R100s and have my eye on a marantz amp, as I like the sound and look of them, but haven't heard one with my speakers. I've got to choose between the PM6004, PM7004, and maybe the PM KI Lite.

So what do you think? Which would be the best? Which would be good but also good value?

The Marantz PM6004 would be a good amp to go for but why limit yourself to Marantz?

The Rega Brio R would be a superb match as well as would the Arcam FMJ A19 (maybe a little too safe sounding though). The latest Pioneer and Rotel amps are getting rave reviews as well; maybe look into those

I have thought about other amps, but figured I have to start narrowing it down somehow and the 3 amps cover a range of price points. Also, hoping to go all Marantz with an AVR at some point and would prefer a marantz amp with it. But will definitely have a look, thanks for the advice!

Along with the Arcam A19, I'd have a listen to the Cyrus 6a, Naim Nait 5i and Roksan Kandy K2 as well.

Thanks for the tips, but opportunities for demo are low so will have to whittle the list down, not make it longer lol

🙂 Have you thought of valve amplifiers considering the quality of the other items??
