Hello, again!

After some time of research and tought , I decided to get a open back headphones and it's an AKG K 612 *drinks* . Hope it's going to be OK . But it's a 120 Ohm model and i'll need an amp for it . What version could be ok for it ? Was thinking of a cheap alternative . Some Fiio e10 ,e7 or e17 could do ?

Hi!

I used to own the AKG K601, which is the same headphone. I used it with a Fiio E10 and it sounded great! The E17 will be fine too. The E7 might by slightly underpowered, though.

Thank you for the answer. I just saw that there are problems with android devices for fiio.

I'd use it with my tablet wich has android 4.1.1 mostly ,and as a dac with the windows laptop wich wouldn't be a problem , I suppose.

Check out the Epiphany Acoustics EHP-O2Di for £180 if your budget will stretch that far.

The O2 is a totally transparent sounding DAC/amplifier which is as good as the best available (and has the measurements to back up that claim). It sounds indistinguishable from a £1500 Benchmark DAC/amp and is capable of driving just about any pair of headphones that you can throw at it.

Fiio DAC/amps are good too. Realistically they're all that you'd really need.

Mmmm...after some research on various sites ,I understand that the micro usb connection is somehow flimsy and can cause connection problems . I am thinking of some alternative solution and would like a more desktop style amplifier because I won't be wandering on streets with headphones. Not my style.

In this situation I am asking you if there is some device like an media player wich :

-can play Deezer ,Spotyfy ,and all these services

-can be connected to internet via ethernet/wifi

-must be controlled from the tablet

-Must have spdif /optical out to connect with a dac
