i currently own a SONY STR DH810 amp and feel each time i play different bands music movies etc i constantly need to adjust the subwoofer settings and also is it best to listen to music via front two speakers only or by using AFD AUTO mode , i want the sound to be fuller and deeper but not over run by the sub but feel the front two speakers are lacking in bass im using Q acoustics speakers sysem 5.1

When listening to music through an AV amp you should almost always have it set to stereo, or better yet some kind of 'Pure audio' (As my Onkyo calls it, though this usually rules out the sub and leaves 2.0 but IMO sounds noticeably better). Then it's just a case of setting the crossover to where it's most preferred (I personally keep it at 80hz). As for varying levels of bass, that might just be how the tracks are recorded, I often get this issue as well.
