I think it may just be me, because I also see it when I go to a tide times website.
I'm not niave though. I know that everything you say is being clocked and acted on, by undesirables - and I detest the fact.
Still, at least they see that I have NEVER, EVER clicked on so called clickbait.....EVER 😬

Ads on websites are getting more and more intrusive. You click a site, wait for the ads to load, wait for the "We want to send you some cookies" message, followed by "How about some notifications, we'd like to send you". But the most annoying feature is when they throwing up some random video you don't want to watch.

I use adblockers. Some sites won't let you continue unless you disable them. I generally find another site. :)

Unless it's a site you really like and want to support. Then by all means whitelist the site.
