Hi everyone,

I am trying to repair an old Marantz PM250 and I would like to know few things

- If I use 3 way speakers being the main ones and another 2 smaller only with 2-way does it matter? I mean is it better the smaller speakers to be 3-way?

-I have been looking for speakers and my amplifier gives 25W per channel (according FTC standards) (39W according DIN) I do not know what that means...should I take DIN as the RMS power? Does it depend on the voltage I use? (220V-230V)

- If I choose a speaker 3-way 50W RMS would it work propwerly with my Marantz? would the low tones sound properly? Or is it better to look for a 40W maximum power speakers (30W RMS)?

-Between brands, which is the best one Sony, Philips or Akari?

Thanks!

All doesn't matter

It doesn't matter if it's 2 or 3 way speakers it doesn't matter what the speakers are rated for (watt).

It doesn't matter if your using 220-230V

It matters if it sounds good
