Advice please..

Looking at putting a new system together, speakers are Monitor Audio BX2 but need help with amp and cd. Would the Musical Fidelity XA-1 be a better choice than the Marantz 6003??? Any help with a cd player is welcome. Thanks

Not heard the MF stuff over recent times. Personally (and this is personal

) I would audition Arcams A18 and CD17 with thew Marantz combo and see which ones 'do it' for you. If they have Rotel, factor that into the equation....

Thanks for the advice.

I have been looking at Arcam, its just of case of can I part with that much £££..... It might sound silly but I have never liked the look of the Rotel stuff, iv not heard any of their amps but they just dont do anything for me in the looks department. Do you happen to know any good sites for used goods?

There are many independent dealers out there, so have a look for special offers, also exdem is another good one. Gumtree (if you're in the UK) and Ebay obviously. Many options available.
