Advice on Ipod dock or mini hi hi with dock - both with pc connectivity

Hello

I'm thinking about buying an ipod dock and have a lot of great reviews on this site.

I'm also considering a mini hifi with dock built in too.

It has to be one or the other, preferably if it's a mini hifi with dock and pc connectivity so I can connect my laptop straight to the hifi.

Can anyone advise me on the best devices out there for this?

I know I can get for example a 'bose sounddock 10' for around £400

Would a mini hifi be better though ?

I see Denon are to release a new version of its CEOL , there's also a streming version without a CD Drive its called CEOL Piccolo, might be worth reading up on it.

Pair has a built in dock.
