Advice for tech dunce

Hi, please help.

I have decided to invest in a surround sound system.

After many many many hours of humming and hawing I may be close to making a decision.............. mabye.

I have decided on the Jamo A102HCS5 speakers paired with a Onkyo TX-SR505 receiver.

Can anybody tell me if they will work smoothly together, and if not what would you recommend. I can stretch my budget a bit more if need be.

Also what cabling would you recommend?

The 505 doesn't support HD audio. Don't know if that's of any importance to you. Even if you're not thinking of HD yet, it may be a bit short sighted for a prosective purchase.

Have you considered the onkyo 606 or if your on a budget how about the sony 820 £230 from richer sounds.
