Question Advice for my first tube amplifier

Hi, nice community: as subject I'd like to buy my first tube amplifier: I've got a couple of artigianal builded 3-way bookshelf loudspeakers and I've read many positive reviews about the Bewitch 6550: It's an integrated tube amplifier, british design and chinese construction: Output Power : ULTRA LINEAR 60W x 2 / TRIODE 30W x 2 (switchable):

1) What are the differences between the old version and the "New version 2016"?
2) Does it sounds better the bewitch 6550 or the Taga Harmony TTA-1000 or maybe the Taga Harmony TTA-1000B ? (30W x 2 at 8 Ohms or 60W x 2 at 4 Ohms, Push-pull in Pure Class A) (at the same price)

the Taga Harmony mounts the 6550 tubes, while the bewitch mounts the Kt88.

I listen to some of all genres of music, but mostly to rock/metal: can warmth be combined with dynamics?

Without wishing to speak for the community here, very few people are using tube amplifiers and thus doubt you'll get any answer to your two specific questions on this forum. Google may be your friend for question 1 and question 2 is ultimately a question of personal preference.

FWIW, I am perfectly happy with my tube set-up. Could it be improved ... probably ... but I'm determined not to disappear down that rabbit hole (yet).

You are correct. Both of these amps are rather niche devices and I doubt anyone on this forum has tried either let alone compared the two.
I don't think either amp will know what type of music you are playing...
I can only suggest the OP tries auditioning each but doubt he can without actually purchasing.

Don't buy a valve (tube) amplifier. They are overpriced and mediocre.

Pure Sound A30 Somewhat belying the name, we found this to be a very characterful amp – mostly for the better!

However, tubes are great for Rock/Metal guitar amps!
6550's are basically the same as KT88's and are interchangeable (historically labelled 6550's in the USA and KT88's in the UK)

As to the OPs question, I agree with the above comments in that there are few valve amp owners on here. I am not familiar with the two you mention, but have read reviews about a Bewitch amp, a copy of a Puresound A30, which by all accounts wasn't all that great. That doesn't mean there other stuff isn't though.

On that note, for similar cash you could pick up a great condition used Puresound A30, which is a nice amp and sounds great.

Beyond that, youtube or Google would be the best place to look for further thoughts specifically on the two you've mentioned.
