Hi all

In my living room I have a HTPC with all my music on it. Thing is as the kids have got older they monopolise this room so I don't get a chance to listen to my music any more! The music is stored in FLAC format on this PC. The room next door is the dining room and I'd like to listen to my music in there. I'm going to get a set of Active speakers for this room and I'm trying to work out a way to get my music to these speakers. The speakers will have a DAC and Amp. I've got a decent wifi system throughout the house.

I've been out of the game for a few years and have lost touch with what's available so I'd be very grateful if those in the know could suggest some options. I don't fancy the Airport Express/Itunes option as all my file are FLAC.

All the best, Andrew

This sounds like the solution could be a Chromecast Audio. That's assuming you have a phone or tablet you can use for controlling it (that your kids haven't commandeered!)

I also would recommend you chosing a Chromecast Audio as it will be the best option in this case. You may also visit any custom center anf get an advice from real professionals. I always do like that.
