A budget vinyl system

Hi Friends, just a light hearted question, what componants would you put together for a budget record playing system, Turntable/cartridge, amp and speakers for an average living room and a cross section of music. I suggest £1000 top limit.

Pro-ject Debut Carbon turntable and Ortofon 2M Red cartridge (£330 for both), Yamaha A-S501 amplifier (£219), and Dynaudio DM2/6 speakers (currently £299 in Richer Sounds).

Pretty much as above although I would change the speakers to Tannoy Mercury V4, thus saving on stands and look for a Nagaoka cartridge to replace that Ortofon ('cos I don't like them ).
