50th Birthday Gift £500 in John lewis Vouchers

Help please I would like to purchase a system that I can play CD's and Ipod on but it looks like I am tied to buying form John Lewis as I got quite a few bob in vouchers for my birthday and it seems that it will have to be the DenonDF102DABS micro unit or the ONKYO CR515DAB I can add some more dosh to the pot the ONKYO seems to get better reviews but is so much cheaper. At the moment I have a Panasonic home cinema system which I play cd's on and for the ipod I use the Monitor Audio system. Will either of the small units be better than what I have.Thanking you

possibly, but if i remember rightly john lewis had a bit of a revamp and had a half decent range of kit a few years back.they used to stock quad,mission,sony and a few others.i have not been there for a while so not so sure of their stock range.i would imagine they have a good website but i suppose you have already looked.sorry not much help there was i.
