Cheers Newlash! I looked at the disc with hdr and without and was well impressed, but to be honest I could tell it was really good, one of my better discs for sure.

I can't wait to see mine. Seen that movie a hundred times and still love it. Probably the only movie I've seen numerous times apart from Avatar 🙂

The extended version of terminator 2 is on the Blu-ray Disc but not on the 4k disc not good which why I had brought the the 4k version in the first place .
That’s THE reason I won’t be buying it then! I can’t remember the last time I watched the non extended release - certainly not since I had the extended version copied from Laserdisc to VHS!

Wow that’s a blast from the past lazer disc I remember back in the 1990s As I see that on lazer disc as that was my main reason to buy my first home cinema back then but didn’t buy a lazer disc as I was still using a VHS muti region player and then DVD came out so brought terminator 2 over the years probably 10 times with all the different formats and versions of that film .

But totally justified considering how well it is made 🙂

Sorry to intrude like this. Did you by any chance try the streaming functionality of the oppo 203. Iam planning on merging my hifi with my HT. So the wxc-50 will move to my head phone setup that iam planning.

I mostly use tidal and network play over my Nas. If I could plug in my Chromecast somewhere into the oppo it would be beneficial too

No mate sorry I’ve not tried the Oppo with streaming as I use my Yamaha wxc50 for that

Iam planning on using the PMC twenty 26 as my main fronts and sell the QA concept 40's. So without my main stereo setup I would go for a head phone setup. So I was looking for a UHD player that can stream tidal and from my Nas, as well as have Google Chromecast so I can utilise the quality of the PMC's for music.

My present wxc-50 and chord 2 qute dac would be going into my head phone setup

I know you can use the Oppo for connecting up to a hard drive from your pc or what ever you use for storing music or films and then it streams it over a internet connection I think but I’ve never tried it mate as I am mostly physically format person .

about your QA concept 40s can’t you use them for back speakers on your home cinema or effect speakers before you sell them ?

Best thing to do is start a thread up asking how to do it mate I think Gel still got a Oppo still and I’ve seen some other people who have one on here that’s the best advice I can give you as I will never bother with doing something like that .

Following is the Home Section of the Oppo 203 - see 3rd point

You can bring up the Home Menu with the HOME button on the remote control. Currently there are seven
selections:
 Disc enables the player to start playback of an inserted optical disc.
 Music, Movies and Photos allow you to access corresponding type of media files from a
connected USB drive and inserted data disc.
 Network enables the player to stream audio, video and photos from media servers on the home
network. Compatible hardware and software may be required.
 Setup brings the player’s Setup Menu, just like pressing the SETUP button on the remote.
 Favorites provides you with a shortcut to access folders or files you love or often access.

Two other points:

1. The 203 has an HDMI IN port

2. See below for list of compatible Windows DLNA Servers
