42 INCH PLASMAS - OTHER THAN PANASONIC

Just wondering if there are any 42in plasmas made by Samsung or LG (or anyone else) that are worth considering?

I am struggling to find reviews on any brands other than Panasonic.

And you will have to search a loooong time, because to my knowledge Panasonic is now the only manufacturer making plasma's below 50 inches.

Yup, full details of Panasonic's 2010 range here including TX-P42V20B Full HD plasmahttp://community.whathifi.com/blogs...anasonic-s-2010-viera-tv-range-in-detail.aspx. Otherwise you'll have to look at some older models from the likes of Samsung, LG.

LG used to make plasma's down to 32 inches, but that is some time ago now.

You might be able to find an old or used model, buth I wouldn't recommend it. A lot has happened - particularly for LG - since then.

A better option would then be looking for an old 8 generation Pioineer. Although they were 720P they are still among the best 42 inch plasma's you can buy (if you can find one).
