3D and chord silver 1.3a cables

Hi as the title suggest do you really need 1.4 hdmi to use 3D tv and blueray.
I am thinking of getting the new pana vt30 with 310 blueray,I just need to know whether to budget for new cables,thanks

Nope, your Chord cables will be High Speed (since they're designed to pass 1080p and HD audio) and therefore will also be fine for 3D.

Thanks Proff,that's what I thought,it's just everytime you mention 3D in a shop new 1.4 cables are mentioned.

Yeh Richersounds tried the same with me when I bought my BDSP570, but my QED version 1.3b cables worked just fine for both full and half res 3D.

I'd be very tempted to not shop in a place that does this as either they don't know what they're talking about or they're being dishonest. Either way, it's not a great sign!
