20 year old speakers

Having recently upgraded my Marantz cd player and amp to a rather very good Roksan [MK III} coupling I'm beginning to wonder that although it sounds awesone through my old Tannoy M15 speakers which were quite expensive 20 years ago; has speaker technology changed that much that it would be worth lashing out more money on a pair of mid-range speakers or would the difference be minimal. Ive been wrestling with this problem for a while now. I would be gratefull for any advice at all! Thanks.

It all depends on what YOU think the problem is?

Do you feel that the sound is lacking at all (i.e. poor bass or too much bass / overblown midrange or muffled midrange / bright, forward treble or not very detailed treble etc...)

It'd be handy to know what the rest of your system is and also what music you generally listen to?

Also; are you looking to upgrade or is it just a question thrown in currently (if it is an upgrade youre after then whats your budget)?

I'd stick with them unless you're willing to part with nigh on £400/500 for a worthwhile upgrade.
