How can I set up itunes for my other halfs ipod and let her share my music library, without havng so sync and unsync items each time ?

You can make a playlist for your partners Ipod and then just sync it with that, make sure when you plug his/her pod in the option sync ipod with selected playlists/songs is ticked otherwise it will sync automaticaly

Re: ADDING A SECOND I POD TO EXISTING I TUNES LIBRARY

It's easy to add a second iPod to iTunes - when you plug it into your PC, you can give it an identity, and set up a specific profile for that player - ie choose exactly which tunes from your library you copy over. Easiest way to do this is to create a playlist(s) from your existing library that contains all the songs you want on the second 'Pod.

On the button 02 as they say. I have one computer and 4 ipods of various sizes, have given each one a name and the computer recognises each one.
