2.1 Cinema Options - Recommendation required

Hi,

I currently have a Sony S-Master Multi Channel AV Receiver (STR-KS1000), and although a great system I looking to upgrade/downgrade depending on you point of view to a 2.1 system.

I've looked at the Onkyo HTX-22HD system which on paper looks exactly what I'm looking for, but is there any other options on the market that offer a similar spec at a budget of £300. It must have 2 x HDMI inputs.

You input would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sure you've probably heard of the infamous 'buzz lottery' but if you do opt for the htx22hd, insist on a demo if you are buying it from a walk in store.

Its a lovely, neat little setup but I went through two of them within 12 months before ditching it for separates.

As for your budget, I think you'll really struggle to get a reciever, speakers and a sub for £300. No to mention decent ones.
