1080p or 1080i on Samsung ue46c8000

I have the new Smsung 3d tv as above with sky hd. On pressing the info button it says i have 1920 x 1080i @50hz.Is this correct or should it be 1090p

sky hd broadcasts at 1080i ...

blurays will be 1080p ..

It's displaying the input resolution (Sky HD broadcasts are 1080i)

Hi thanks with blue ray 3d player it comes up as 1920 x 1080 @24htz.So all is well.

Finding every thing fine now its settled down and caibrated.A great Tv that also looks so damm sexy on the wall. Hd out of this world.
