The 10.1 sounds a tad dark and boomy in my opinion. I'm sure that it'd sound better in a different room and matched to different gear though. Besides, some people prefer the weightier presentation. I agree that it looks like something from Samsung, which doesn't quite look hifi. However, that helps it blend into home theater setups with piano black AV gear.
From the recent Diamonds, I've liked the 9.3 the most. These speakers also have a boom frequency, but it's not as pronounced as the rest of the line. They sound quite balanced overall.
The 9.6 can also provide good output, but it needs space around it, some distance from the listening position, and a very grippy amp.
