thanks...phono preamp is not drawing much electricity, i am still concerned about safety with combination of tube amp and smart plug...i know it will work though, but i can 't find much first hand experience about it...

i am using small el84 tube integrated amp which is working in triode mode...it doesn't have any start/delay protection, only on/off switch on the back...i wonder if i can plug tube amp into 10A smart wifi plug so i can turn it on and off with my mobile phone or with voice assistant? is there any...

i have the same one, and it works ok...no distortion, no crackling sound, it shouldnt be happening...

this...i have some el84 amp working in triode mode, so dunno, 5-6-7 watts tops...it is almost unusable over 12 o clock, it distorted like hell...if some music has lower level, it's almost impossible to listen to, especially classical music...i gave up at the end, and put it in the closet, maybe...

chances are you will get a somehow different presentation and not sure if it will be "better"...with a budget of 700 you cant expect to get a night and day difference...i know, yamaha don't have an "audiophile" stamp of approval but be carefull, you have a very good amp, and exchanging it with...

eh, another case of an excellent product which works good only with a certain types of music, in certain conditions, under certain weather, and needs to change everything in the system to sounds good, including rewiring a house, moving all the furniture, changing carpets, trashing down some...

i think the main problem is: they must sound better, since they're 800, they're awashed with awards, etc...it looks like everybody have to find excuse or two for ls50, but no one want to admit maybe they're nothing special... i also think how synergy is just like that: a way to find excuse(s)...

i think it's a typical dealers room, quite large, they were driven with some big onkyo power amp ( i was surprised, didnt know onkyo make them like this anymore)...not sure about the preamp, maybe matching onkyo...source was marantz cd, 6 or 7 series...my general feeling was about light...
