utterly confused over new tv choices

Well i took the plunge and ordered the 46W905 yesterday from John Lewis, it should arrive tomorrow. :) I know its a risky to buy a TV without first seeing it, but i couldn't find anyone with one on display! John Lewis said if i wasn't happy with it they would be happy for me to return it, but...

utterly confused over new tv choices

Pikman, to be honest i feel the same as you. Would i really notice the difference between them? With that i mind, what would people's thoughts of the Sony 46W905 vs the Sony 42W829? I'm guessing the same thoughts of bigger is better? The 46 i can get from JL for £799, the 42 Sevenoaks S&V have...

utterly confused over new tv choices

Thank you for the comments so far. Pikman, i did look at the Sony KLD50W829 and it looks great, unfortunatley its just too big to fit where i need it to go. The 48inch Samsung will just about fit. Gel i like the idea having extra funds to buy the console, and i'm sure my boys would agree :)...

utterly confused over new tv choices

Hi, My daughter recently decided that it would be a good idea to swing a skipping rope into my Panasonic TX-37LZD70!! I loved this TV and thought the picture quality was great, and had no plans on changing it. However, I obviously need to buy a new TV now and am utterly confused by the range of...

    £500 challenge

Hi, Unfortunately the other day my PlayStation 3 decided to pack up, leaving us with no BluRay player. However because of this I have convinced the wife that we should look at getting a surround sound system. We had a Sony all-in-one system 10 years ago, and i have looked again at all-in-one...

    Full HD for £500-£600?

So if i manage to convince him that Full HD is not important, what would be the best option within budget? I've found the Sony KPL-32P3020 for £449, which What Hi Def? claims to be the best 32" LCD you can buy. Is this the case. And what would be the best 37" that falls in or under budget?

    Full HD for £500-£600?

Hi, My father-in-law is after a new TV, 32" or 37" and his only requirement, other than budget, is that he wants it to be full HD and Blu Ray compatible! I mentioned the the Panasonic plasma's to him as they fall in his budget and hve great reviews, and also the fact that you don't see much...

    How does the PS3 compare?

I have recently bought a Panasonic 37LZD70, and i am looking into getting a blu ray player to complement it. Everywhere i seem to look everyone seems to suggest that the PS3 is the best option as a future proof Blu Ray player? Is this the case or would there be a better player (around the same...

Panasonic TX-37LZD70 and VGA input from Xbox 360

Can anyone tell me what the max resolution/analog signal the tv set will accept via the VGA port? I have connected my old xbox 360 via the VGA port and in the settings it lets me select 1920x 1080 as the output res but when i do this my screen goes black and i get no signal. Luckily after 10...
