Panasonic TX-37LZD70 and VGA input from Xbox 360

Can anyone tell me what the max resolution/analog signal the tv set will accept via the VGA port? I have connected my old xbox 360 via the VGA port and in the settings it lets me select 1920x 1080 as the output res but when i do this my screen goes black and i get no signal. Luckily after 10 secs it returns to it's previous setting.

However i would like to take advantage of the full 1080p that my TV can handle and therefore would like to set the xbox up to do this. Can any one tell me if i should be able to see a 1920x1080 analog signal via the vga port?

That screen only supports 720p over VGA and 1080i (not 1080p) over component. You need to use HDMI to get 1080p.
